Is the Free plan really free?
Yes — $0, with no card and no time limit. Free is the full design canvas with all six rack systems, a limited number of AI requests and 1 cloud project. The one thing it doesn't do is export: the layout PDF, the BOM and the quote need Solo or Warehouse Pro.
What is the difference between Solo and Warehouse Pro?
Allowances and the watermark. Solo ($30/month) gives 20 AI requests a day, 5 cloud projects with 5 versions each, the 3D bay view and watermarked exports. Warehouse Pro ($100/month) gives 100 AI requests a day, unlimited projects and versions, clean exports and priority support. If your exports go to a client under your own name, you want Warehouse Pro.
What does "watermarked" mean on Solo exports?
A small rackcity.ai mark on each page of a PDF and a banner line in a CSV. The numbers, the drawings and the quote are the same as Warehouse Pro's; only the mark differs. Warehouse Pro exports are clean.
How does $0 for 7 days work?
Start Solo or Warehouse Pro and you pay $0 for the first 7 days. A card is collected at checkout and charged at the plan's normal price when the 7 days end, unless you cancel first from Account → Manage billing. The $0 days are for accounts that have never held a subscription, once — cancelling and rejoining doesn't start them again. Cancel during the $0 days and you keep the plan until they end, and pay nothing; we email you a reminder 3 days before the first payment.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes — Solo is $288/year and Warehouse Pro is $960/year ($24 and $80 a month): 20% less than twelve monthly payments. The first 7 days at $0 apply to a yearly plan too: the card is charged for the year on day 8. Cancel a yearly plan within 30 days of a payment and we refund the unused months. Moving to a lower plan, or back to monthly billing, is done from Account → Manage billing.
Can I switch plans or cancel?
Any time, from Account → Manage billing in the app, which opens your Stripe billing portal. Moving from Solo up to Warehouse Pro switches your existing subscription and prorates the rest of the month, and a monthly plan switches to yearly billing the same way, from the plan's card in the app; moving down takes effect at the end of the period. A cancellation keeps your plan until the end of the period you've already paid for — or, during the $0 days, until they end — and you're not charged again. Fees for a period already started aren't refunded, except a yearly plan cancelled within 30 days.
What happens to my projects if I go over a limit or move to a lower plan?
Nothing is deleted, hidden or locked. Every project and version you already have stays and opens; a limit only stops the next creation — cloud project number 2 on Free, the next AI request after the day's allowance. Exports stop on Free, and the watermark comes back on Solo.
Is there a plan for a team?
Yes — Enterprise. Every seat gets everything in Warehouse Pro: 100 AI requests a day each, unlimited projects and versions, and clean exports with your team's logo on every Layout PDF and quote. Projects live in one shared workspace with admin and member roles: admins invite people, choose whether members see every project or only their own, and a member can move a personal project to the team. It is sold by a person and invoiced, never through Checkout: email support@rackcity.ai for a quote.
